How to Store and Ship Empty HP45 Cartridges So They Keep Their Value
The grade we can give a cartridge — and therefore its price — depends a lot on how it was stored and shipped. A few simple habits make a real difference.
Storage
- Store empties in a cool, dry place away from direct sun and heat.
- Keep the nozzle plate from touching anything — never pile cartridges loose in a box.
- Do not try to clean the nozzle yourself; wiping with paper can scratch it.
Bagging
- Put each cartridge in its own sealed plastic bag (a zip bag is fine).
- If you still have the original clip or protective tape, use it.
Packing
- Use a strong double-wall carton.
- Fill gaps with bubble wrap or paper so nothing moves.
- Keep carton weight manageable for the courier.
- Write your quote reference on the carton and put a copy inside.
Step-by-step instructions are on our how to ship page.
